KOFTAS
1 Small red onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp ground cumin
225g minced lamb
20g fresh breadcrumbs(slice of bread without crust)
2 tsp fresh chopped mint leaves
1 tsp clear honey (for babies over 1)
1 egg yolk
METHOD
- Saute the onion in the oil for 5-6 minutes until soft
- Add the garlic and the cumin and cook for an extra minute, then transfer to a bowl
- Add the remaining ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly, for a finer texture use a food processor
- Divide the mixture into eight and form balls (if possible chill for 1-2 hours)
- Preheat the grill to high and grill for 8-10 minutes turning half way through cooking
- Serve with Tzatziki and pitta
